Finding musical chemistry with someone is not always easy, but for The Young Fables, they struck gold. While Wes enjoys comic books and board games, Laurel likes makeup and watching good TV. Sometimes extreme opposites can bring out the best in music. Growing up in the same hometown, they met at a gig and moved to Nashville after realizing their dynamite potential as a duo. The young Fables have been gaining momentum over the past few months leading up to their Old Songs Record Release Show on March 27th at City Winery that will be hosted by Nash FM. From playing at The Ryman to playing at The Country Music Hall of Fame (all within 3 days), this magnetic duo is constantly promoting their undeniably rich, traditional country sound.
The Young Fables Raises Money For Upcoming Album Old Songs
The Young Fables have quite the support group behind them as well. Using Kickstarter, they were able to raise money for their highly anticipated upcoming album, Old Songs. For Wes and Laurel, this album will showcase their mature country sound and their growth as songwriters in Nashville. The message they send and the personalities that accompany them are as genuine as the sound of their music. “We want to stay true to who we are, not what people want us to play”, Laurel strongly pointed out. ” We want people to have the same live show experience as they do listening to our record, keeping ourselves at the forefront”, Wes proudly commented. The Young Fable’s Tennessee roots bleed into their classic country sound, and it’s impossible to not feel warm inside when you listen to their smooth, complimenting vocals.
Their sophomore album, Old Songs, was produced by Grammy award-winning producer Mitch Dane, is going to be something that is as timeless as an old record player. So don’t miss out, and purchase tickets here for their release show!
