Jack Berry Puts the Rock in Roll
If Jack White and Elvis Presley could create a musical genre baby, their child would be Jack Berry. Jack likes whiskey and women, “in that order”. He has no trouble completely dominating as a blues rocker with some insane soul that sounds like he time traveled from the 60’s.
Hailing from Reno, Nevada, Jack Berry has taken Nashville by storm at a time when music city is rapidly on the rise and bulking up in the rock department. For those who have been living under a rock (sorry not sorry), this blues rocker has been making some killer sound waves. Blues Rock Review named Berry’s electrifying album “Mean Machine” one of the top 20 albums of 2016. This comes to no surprise as Berry has a vocal range that can shatter windows and easily vibrate the eardrums of an entire audience.
“Bad Dog”
Bloody, sweaty, and shirtless, Jack Berry’s Music Video for “Bad Dog” is wildly entertaining. He really showcases his high energy that he carries with him during his live shows. His grit and style, paired with Elvis-like dance moves, have made him an unforgettable performer. Not only that, but he has an incredible ability to control his vibrato and tone so that it’s perfectly imperfect. Hints of soulful blues intertwined with heavy electric guitar make it hard not to head bang to every tune on “Mean Machine”.
With a level of lustful sounds and lyrics, the album will seduce you into submission. It’s hard not to let Jack Berry’s vocal range consume your soul. It’s an album that is so DANG enjoyable to the ear. Smooth but rugged, the album is balanced nicely. While “Told Me Not To” is more on the soulful bluesy side, “Kiss Like” will rock your face off. Seriously, the disclaimer is that you may not have a face left after this song.
