Last we heard from Class 11’s Tommee Profitt was back in mid-February when NF dropped the first record Clouds off his forthcoming Mixtape. Today we got the latest single & video LOST ft. Hopsin & co-produced by Tommee Profitt & Saint X. This record puts two of the games slickest, Ice-In-The-Veins lyricists on the same track… and on the same mountain
LOST
It’s easy to get lost in this song as it features extended verses from both NF & fellow independent rapper Hopsin.
The production serves as the perfect backdrop to the aggressive but emotional & deep lyrics as they speak on the flaws and struggles we have as a society and calling attention to them.
“I was living so oblivious, With Millions, It really was a pity huh? Kinda funny what a penny does, mixed with a mini buzz” – Hopsin
Moving on, the video itself has both on a snow covered mountainside looking to find their way as they maneuver through the harsh environment (some symbolism in that towards todays harsh world). I’ll let you watch the video and find all the symbolism for yourself.
Tip… watch it without CC on to take in the visuals… Got it. Good. Now go back with the CC on. Trust me. I got a whole new perspective. When I caught every single bar, metaphor, and punch line I missed the first time there was even more depth. There’s a reason NF has made his way into my “Favorite Lyricist” list in recent years and Hopsin has been on my “Favorite Artists” lists for even longer.
Whats Next
Tommee Profitt alluded that there are bigger moves at play. The play… A project is coming. Per TP’s Instagram post we’re looking at March 26th for a full project we know is going to have Profitt’s stamp all over it.
