Class 14: Jade Million
PA to Nash
Raspy vocals, sexy independence, and unabashed confidence are just a few characteristics that make Nashville future R&B artist, Jade Million, unlike any other. With influences from R&B, Trap, Hip Hop, and Pop, Million breaks genre barriers, finding devoted audiences from several unique communities. Jade’s songs stand strong, with artistry and songwriting at her core. They’re derived from her specific experiences, rather than trying to fit a style. Since her rebranding in late 2018, Million has released three singles, “Escalators,” “Fly Me Out,” and “Lucid”, foreshadowing her upcoming EP.
Together, the singles earned over 160,000 streams and counting on Spotify alone. Giving her a highly respected spotlight in the Nashville music scene. With the traction earned from her releases, Million landed multiple high-volume gigs toward the end of 2019, including snagging a spot on the main stage at Nashville’s Breakaway Music Festival, shared with iconic acts like Lil Baby and Future. Along with her singles and playing Breakaway Music Fest, Million landed several high-profile collaborations. She released “Work” with Atlanta’s Kiya Lacey and “Don’t Waste My Time” with the critically acclaimed Italian DJ and producer Kharfi, both of which expanded her fanbase and established further respect for her craft.
Confidence
Drawing inspiration from a wide range of artists like: Halsey, Mac Miller, The Weekend, and Billie Eilish, Jade thrives in her unique independence. Her message is simple: confidence, independence, freedom and fun. Million carries herself with a powerful feminine energy that is naturally translated through her songs. From the first listen, you’re left feeling empowered, excited, and eager for more.
With her signature bright green hair and her always fresh style, Million is easy to spot around town. You’ll likely find her playing acoustic sets, recording and planning with her team at Altru Creative. Or being the life of the best parties around Nashville. Originally from Pennsylvania, there was no hesitation for Million to move to Nashville after high school. She dove into music in any way she could, making a living playing local acoustic gigs. Eventually, she found a home at Altru Creative, where she decided to take on a manager and bring her career to the next level. With an EP planned to release in 2020, Million’s next project is putting together a tour, and hopes to be on the road as much as possible.
