Ladies and gentlemen, Sawyer is here and Nashville indie sparkle pop has never been more chill with this melodic duo. Resonating with the vibes of a road trip with friends, mixed with an introspective element of self-discovery, these ladies have a pop-indie sound that’s just a pleasant experience overall. Though their style sounds pop-inspired and upbeat, Sawyer’s harmonies and intricate guitar work set them apart here in Nashville.
Comprised of singer/rhythm guitar player Kel Taylor and lead guitar player Emma Harvey, these two friends began their journey at Belmont University in downtown Nashville. This friendship is prevalent in their fun music videos, as is their down-to-earth personalities. In fact, it’s this energy that makes them so relatable as musicians. So, they just roll with it and make it a part of their image.
Touring the Pacific Northwest
After a whirlwind touring year in 2016, these girls have been set into overdrive. As they made their way across the Pacific Northwest, they found a second home for their sound to flourish. This incredible tour was capped off with a sold-out, headlining performance at Seattle’s famous venue The Crocodile. After reaching thousands of fans across the country, these two returned to Nashville with a massive following across the country. Now, it appears that it is just a matter of time to fill in the states between.
In the world of social media marketing, this strategy (if you want to call their natural friendship a “strategy”) is immensely effective. With mediums as personal as Facebook and Snapchat, people tend to respond to this kind of activity with natural interest. You feel like you could hang out with the artist, like their just one of your friends you’re catching up with. So, if you want to hang out with these two some more, go follow their Facebook and Youtube. You can also find their Nashville indie sparkle pop album “Easy Now” over on their website (Click HERE).
