SVRCINA’s New Single “Come Together” hits NEW MUSIC FRIDAY
If New Music Friday were Goliath, SVRCINA would be the underdog, David, slaying the industry as an independent powerhouse. Launching her very first single, “Come Together”, from her new LP dropping in early spring 2019.
SVRCINA and her team at Resin8 executed a very clever, slow release of her new, self titled EP that launched earlier this year. Feeding fans’ desires for consistent new music from the young starlit. Huge props to SVRCINA and her team for taking such a strategic approach. Which proved to have paid off in MAJOR ways for the cine-pop princess. And a slow release of singles will continue to be the teams focus as they roll out, single by single off of SVRCINA’s new LP.
“Come together”
Heavy on the heart for a creative journey, SVRCINA moved to Berlin, Germany for 3 months, earlier this year to explore musical inspirations from different parts of the globe. Resulting in the first single, Come Together, off of her new LP.
Collaborating with music masterminds such as, producer, Vince Kottkamp in Berlin and vocal producer/ co-writer Michael McEachern, they were able to bring this energetic, fresh, pop gem to life.
Svrcina enters into the song with simplistic light productions that puts the hyper focus on her one-of-a-kind voice. Almost forcing you to stick around. Slowly building into those island vibes in the chorus that takes control of your body and next thing you know, you’re committed to a one man dance party. The production on this single is truly something genius. Stacking the vocals, playing with your emotions through the drums, and pulling it all back while just giving you SVRCINA’s voice and a piano. And that drop though! Genius! Keep killing it, Vince and Michael!
And SVRCINA’s vocals, seriously?! Soaring to places that that take your emotions on an enjoyable ride. Taking those emotions on a journey that taps into your soul a bit while setting up a permanent residence of joy inside. Wow what a gift, SVRCINA!
Behind The Lyrics
So a cool dynamic about this song is SVRCINA and Michael actually wrote it before Svrcina packed it in her suitcase to bring to life in Germany. The song was written about the complexities of a relationship. The time you start feeling the disconnects, like the connection is fading, and important aspects of the relationship are not aligning as much anymore. The times you feel like all you’re doing is butting heads with one another. Svrcina and Michael bring in the perspective of re-aligning yourself inside of that relationship, coming together to focus on getting the relationship back on the rails. And that’s what it takes, a relentless commitment to always come back together and re-focus on the relationship, together, on the same side, going after the problems.
The song tugs on your heart strings at the end of the song saying “God, I hope I haven’t lost you yet, What can I do to straighten this out?”, indicating the desire to fight for the relationship. All the while, the production puts you on an island, in your happy place. It’s almost as if the song is pulling you in two emotionally opposite directions at the same time. And that’s exactly what music should make you do, is feel.
Now go stream the single! You’re going to thank us for it!
Oh, and did we mention it’s already on New Music Friday in 8 countries?! We are so very honored and proud to not only know SVRCINA and her team Wendy Duffy and team at Resin8 Music, but to call them friends. One of the hardest working teams in the industry right now. So proud of you all!
