VACATION MANOR // “Everything I Can’t Say Out Loud”
Album Review on “Everything I Can’t Say Out Loud”
As we roll on with class 11’s Vacation Manor, we had to give their brand new album all the loves. By the sounds of this album you would almost bank on their inspirations being drawn from 80’s pop and 90’s rock. Seamlessly merging two decades in some sort of modern way that still translates and holds its own in today’s music scene. In a city like Nashville with indie rock being one of the power playing genres, Vacation Manor gives it a unique millennial twist. Telling us everything they couldn’t say out loud.
The musicianship in this album solidifies Vacation Manors old souls. Bringing a together a tight sound and skill sets that exudes musical wisdom beyond their years. Without question these guys could sit on bills with bands like Moon Taxi, Elliot Root, Future Thieves, and Kings of Leon and totally hold their own.
Inside the Album
Vacation Manor shoved all the things they couldn’t say out loud into 7 songs. From songs like ” All a Dream” and “Say We’ll Make It” and “Move On” all give stories of hope in not so hopeful situations. Not only is the music pulsating a positive message through the production but the lyrics bring life to just that. Then there’s little gems like “Hourglass” and “Somewhere Soon” that has an acoustic vibe, stripping the production back to draw light to the sensitive, vulnerable lyrics. Getting raw and real on some deep, heartfelt lyrics literally leaving your heart in a puddle of tears. Detoxing your soul in some sort of musical baptism. You’re soul will feel refreshed after this album, trust us! Mine did!
Enough on what we think, go jump into this album yourself. You’ll thank us for the push in that direction.
