This week we introduce you all to not only some amazing musicians, but some badass people, SandWaves. Mika and OnenO conjured up this clever name meaning “You are the creator of your reality.” SandWaves is this crazy amazing marriage between live/electronic drums, synthesis, classical piano, and electronic production. So not only does SandWaves unique mixture capture our attention but their performance is what sends them into the stratosphere. Putting them at the forefront of the live music, edm, rock genre, that has yet to surface, until now.
Mika and OnenO first met at a male review in LA, where Mika was working to pay those bills… alright, alright, I’m lying. They actually first met through some mutual musician friends, setting them up on the same gig together. They immediately discovered not only were their artist vibes in sync but their personal perspectives, values and morals connected on a level we often times refer to as “Vibin’ aka Chemistry.” After they both spent years touring, acquiring experiences and perfecting their skill sets, with the most amazing names in the industry such as, Rihanna, Filter, Tom Morello, KARMIN, Eminem, Adam Lambert, Elliott Yamin, Snoop Dogg, Miguel and much more, they then married their skill sets and birthed the band, SandWaves. A live music, electronic, rock band, something that they had acknowledge was missing from the current music scene. Filling their niche genre like they were born for this.
… And then the move to Nashville. SandWaves synced up with the likes of Hope Tree Entertainment‘s founder Patryk Larney, planting their feet right into the most talented independent artist scene in Nashville. SandWaves having the great souls they do, that so obviously match their talents, seemed to fit right in. After being invited to a private viewing of their in house studio performance aka “The Sand Castle”, we then knew SandWaves had something even more unique and special than we had originally envisioned. Playing around town 3 times in their mere 6ish months they had been in Nashville, SandWaves captivated their audiences at every single show, and this is only the beginning.
We are so very stoked to not only know these guys as the amazing musicians they are, but to know them as the even more amazing people that they are. They seriously deserve every bit of success that they have acquired and the massive success that is on its way. Congrats SandWaves for being badasses. We are stoked to aid and support you guys on this journey.
